My good friend Brian, a true photographer, recently started a blog containing some of the documentary work he is doing on US Highway 89 (mileposts.blogspot.com). His endeavor has encouraged me to once again attempt a weblog. It is my hope to include periodic postings related to China that would be of particular interest to my students. Today I am testing the "Add Image" feature of the blogger interface. If it works like it should, you should see an image I took this past summer of a distinguished-looking elderly farmer in a remote village in the northern part of Shaanxi Province.
